At the outset let me admit that my out-of-India experiences are limited to the recent two month trip that I made to the US very recently and most of my opinions are based on personal experiences that I have had at Bangalore and at Hyderabad, mostly involving IT and BPO individuals.

The crux of this post is the sheer callousness and atrocity with which we Indians approach the whole concept of using an elevator. On more than one occassion I have wondered what is it that makes us so impatient when it comes to waiting for an elevator and actually waiting for it to move from one floor to another.

How would you react if I told you that the single entity/person who is responsible for upholding the law and the fear of whom strikes the death knell in the hearts of every criminal is a petty thief himself.

How would you be able to go to bed at night when the fear of the judiciary has disappeared from the hearts of every wrong-doer in the country?

Yes, I am talking about the scandal that CNN IBN brought to everybody's notice today morning.

Well, here's a small list of all the 'comebacks' that have happened over the past week -

1. I came back to India from the US. For me, it was like literally walking from the Frying Pan into the Fire, both in terms of work and quite literally the weather back here at Hyderabad. The blast of hot air that hit me the moment I walked out of the new Shamsabad International Airport Arrivals terminal is something that I cannot fully accurately describe. Suffice to say that it was hot!!!

Well, as the saying goes 'All things, good and bad, must come to an end'. No wait hold on, before you go making assumptions that maybe I am putting an end to the blog, let me reaffirm that I was only talking about my US Trip.

As I sit here at Chicago O Hare Airport and use free Wi-Fi to type this out and post it, let me assure that somehow I get the feeling that this probably will be my last post from the US for a long long time to come.
