Just finished with my fifth event for the year. After Crossbrands, Matrix, the Equit-i crossword, Biz Czar, it was Marqui - The Marketing Quiz this time around. Mercur-i once again entrusted me with making this quiz the best one of the year so far, and from the feedback that I got from the finalists who had no option but to sit through the entire event, it went off well.

In case any of you guys want the questions, please shoot a mail to jairammohan@gmail.com and I ll send the questions to you.

Well, I've been meaning to post about something so inherently Bangalorean and so personal that probably no one else can possibly relate to it, and hence this post.

You know what my idea of an ideal evening would be. At around 4.30 PM Ganesh (my neighbor of around 18 yrs now, we practically grew up together) comes to my gate and hollers my name with his gruff manly voice.

Well, quite a few things have happened on campus since the last update. Let me list them out one by one for you

THE RETRO PARTY

As usual the annual Retro party happened one of these Saturdays. Participants from both the batches came out in full colors, both literally and figuratively. Two enthu cutlets from PGP1 came dressed up as Laurel and Hardy, with the works, the black suits, top hats, small moustache, stupid walks and all.

Well, today has been an interesting day to say the least. We (my work group for the Society, Business Management course) began our day quite early with 7 of us assembling at 8.45 AM to leave for an Anganwadi (which is vernacular for a NGO cum Self Help Group which is engaged in the upliftment of the urban under privileged). Due to the lack of transportation and more importantly someone who could ride a bike, 6 of us left the campus at around 9 AM and reached the place at around 9.20.

Here goes my account of my trip to Omkareshwar which was undertaken yesterday. Circa, September 4, 2005, 5.30 AM when I am rudely shaken awake by Arun with whom I had decided that we would leave campus by 5.00 AM. So there we were 45 mins beyond stipulated departure time, with Pradeep and Spondan making up the Fatal Four for this particular trip with one Bajaj Discover DTSi and one Hero Honda Splendor.

Finished reading THE BLUE HORIZON by WILBUR SMITH and here is my take on the book. The book itself deals with the adventures of Jim Courtney and Mansur Courtney, cousins and sons of Tom Courtney and Dorian Courtney (the chief characters of WILBUR SMITH'S MONSOON).

The story begins with how Jim saves Louisa from the clutches of her Dutch captors and flees off deep into hitherto unexplored Africa in an attempt to carve out a new life of his own.

Life brings along quite a few amazing things in its way, the latest one in my life being my CANON A-510. Have started an exclusively photos-only blog titled "My life thru a lens". The url is http://phoduhgraphy.blogspot.com Please visit and comment on my attempts at being a decent photographer.
