Currenc-i, the Economics and International Business interest club up here on the hill, simply rocks.

Today, the event organised was BIZ CZAR, the business quiz, which went off well with a decent amount of participation from both batches, in spite of the fact that PGP1 has their end-terms coming up in another 4 days.

The topping on the cake was the fact that the PGP1 team consisting of Ramneek, Padvinder and Arun Sagar came first in the quiz. Here's hoping for more such events.

Cheers.........Jam

PS: Have uploaded an amazing poster inviting participation for the event. Courtesy, my creative genius neighbor, Joseph Radhik.

Finally, I ve managed to cull out the best of the best pix that were taken by yours truly on the trip to Leh (August 6th to August 16th) and upload them. Here goes the link http://photos.yahoo.com/jairammohan

Please view the pix and come back with your bouquets and brickbats.

I m sure Lord Krishna would never have had so many enthusiastic friends helping him to steal all that tasty curd and butter from the earthen pot.

I m referring to the MATKA PHOD competition that was held as part of IIM Indore's premature Janmashtami celebrations last night. CulCom as usual rocks when it comes to organising pujas and related competitions of all the religious festivals of note.

Well, after a helluva lot of proscrastination, here goes an account of our first day of travel in the hills.

There are a very few occassions in life where I've been left speechless. Well, this trip to Leh-Ladakh was one such experience where any amount of adjectives, adverbs or anything else in English grammar can do no justice to. Since the time we left Delhi to Manali, somewhere along the way the absolute beauty of the mountains hit me (big time) and I am completely lost as regards the words to describe the sheer beauty of the entire experience.

A sample snap is enclosed.

Well, what can I say, the picture below speaks more than just a 1000 words.

The batch of 2007 have left us all quite speechless with this picture. The lesser said about the wonderful enthusiasm shown and the efforts put in the better it is. I will let the pic speak.

I have been postponing this post for long enough. Tomorrow our Term IV officially gets over and 8 of us foolhardy adventurers have decided to journey to the top of the world for the next 10 days - Leh.

Here are few sneak peeks into the kind of places we'll be touching base over the next few days -

From the looks of it, seems like this is the trip of a lifetime with a whole host of visual treats.

Well, it's been a crazy day so far to say the least. Get up in the morning at around 6.30 AM, rush around like a dog whose tail is on fire, catch a quick shower, dress up in all formals including a tie and a blazer, rush over to the Acad Block all the way up the hill, give a fake smile and pose for the batch photograph.

As if all this wasn't enough one of my batchies asks Govar for a favor and pose in some casual clothes, to get a natural feel of life on campus.

Well, what can I say, getting up at 6.45 AM in the morning after having slept at 3 AM is not my idea of an ideal sleep or an ideal morning. But then today was one such day.

We were supposed to have an official batch photograph scheduled at 7 AM for various purposes including the placement brochure. But then fate or actually Mother Nature decided to intervene. The photo shoot has been indefinitely postponed due to the vagaries of nature (read heavy rains).
