The moon does have a soothing effect on me. There I was, as usual strolling down the corridor to the mess smelling the food inviting me. Suddenly I happened to notice the clear skies and the lovely full face of the moon staring down at me. It seemed to ask me to slow down, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds that nature has to offer.

Ever since I’ve arrived here, most of the things I do regularly have been thrown out of the window. A classic example of the same would be to take a break once in a while and do absolutely nothing but to stare at the sky or stare into the distance. It seems like I’ve completely forgotten to relax, take a break and get back to my daily routine rejuvenated. But then today, just looking at the full moon seemed to bring me back to track.

Here's yet another inspiring story that someone mailed across to me:

His passion for the Internet has made him CEO of a web solutions and

networking company at the age of 17. Suhas Gopinath today runs offices

across 11 countries!

TIMES NEWS NETWORK

At a seminar on 'Education System in India' at Indian Institute of

Science, Bangalore, last year, a boy dressed in casuals stepped out of

his car and entered the gate.

I recently read this article about Intellectual Masturbation which I surely have to share with the rest of you. This is an article in the newspaper of Georgetown University and is written by Blake Roberts. This makes for hilarious reading especially if you are a student at a B School:

Intellectual Masturbation Rubs Me The Wrong Way

Intellectual masturbation is a big problem on campus. Every class I go to, there’s one or two people with no shame.

Riddle me this, riddle me that………… These words were immortalized by the Riddler in Batman Forever.

We haven’t had any riddles yet, but in the past week we’ve had two amazing Crosswords to solve. One of them was sent by the Economics and the International Business Club and the other by Equiti – The Finance Club. And man, were they awesome or what!!!

They not just tested our Economics and Finance knowledge but also brought our Googling skills to the fore.

Whenever we hear the words “Guest Talk” most of us groan because so far the only purpose guest lectures have served are:

- eating up into our personal time, which we would otherwise spend sleeping, etc.

- drinking good tea and getting decent pastries

- a good place to sleep and not be afraid of the consequences of getting caught.

However, today was a welcome change from the run-of-the-mill guest lectures.

People, I know I'm taking the shortcut out by copying this piece, but then there's no way I would be able to do justice by typing it out myself. So, here goes the latest news update from the IIM I News Service:

Nietzche once said, “Madness is the exception in individuals but the rule in groups.” Well, that nicely sums up the intensity of rivalry between the Aristocrats and the Bohemians. Yes, we are passionate to the extent of madness and are proud about it. We fight and fight hard.

For a change I’m completely lost for words as to what to put into my blog. I have these days once in a while when I’m completely blank and encounter a dead end when I sit to type out what I’m thinking about or what I feel. I guess today is one of those days.

I have tried to figure out why this happens and what are the exact causes of the same. However, I haven’t been able to come up with any concrete reasons yet.

Well this has been the first holiday wherein I’ve actually woken up before 11 AM and man, is it a good feeling or what!!! I have been doing all sorts of things such as having a nice, relaxed hot water bath, surfing the net, reading Business World and actually managing to get in some amount of academic work also in there.

Never realized that I was losing out on so many good things because of sleeping through the morning.

Some things never change – like my unadulterated adulation for AISHWARYA RAI. I just watched the movie “Kyon Ho Gaya Na” and man, was she something in that.

Not just the looks but also the emotive part of her appeals to me so much. I dunno why but somehow I relate to her so so much that it is quite unreal. When she smiles I smile, and when she cries, I cry along with her.

Well, today is a momentous day for me. My first official “F” in academic related stuff. The Behavior and Theories of Organizations Quiz which I gave two days ago turned out be a double edged sword. I though I had done decently in the Quiz, but as it turns out, I’ve successfully managed to cross a major milestone in my academic career.

Although this is not the first failure in my academic career so far, this by far has been the most deplorable performance, and the most unexpected.
